Thanks to a rattan construction, this 1.5Kg bread proofing basket offers a traditional and desirable way to cure your dough, leaving an attractive pattern to help you merchandise your bakes. Adding a home-made aesthetic to your loaves is hugely beneficial in convincing customers to spend more. As a breathable, natural material rattan is not only a greener and more sustainable alternative but can also be cleaned using just cold water and a hard brush.
Before first use, spray the inside slightly with an enzyme-free releasing agent to protect the rattan, and dust with flour. The basket can be cleaned every 4 weeks using a brush without water. Then place the basket in the oven for 20 minutes at a temperature between 120 and 140 C to sanitise.
