Food allergies and intolerances are life changing and are becoming more and more complicated. In the UK it affects 8% of the child population and 2% of the adult population. It is vitally important that your establishment is equipt to handle food allergies and maximise prevention. According to the Food Standards Agency, close to half of fatal food allergy reactions are from food consumed outside the home.  

Colour coded equipment has been available for many years to try and eliminate the risk of food allergy reactions.
