Breeze through food prep tasks with the 1778 Series Santoku knife from Dick. With its high-quality construction and design, it’s a reliable addition to any chef’s toolkit. Whether you’re slicing, dicing or chopping, this Santoku knife is up to the task, thanks to its sharp, thinly ground blade and comfortable ergonomic handle.
The 17cm blade of this 1778 Series Santoku knife is honed and sharpened by hand, while the handle is made of a specially selected plumwood which gives it a unique character. It provides exceptional strength, durability and sharpness thanks to a core made up of a very thin layer of high-alloy, double X VG-12 grade carbon steel.
Featuring a Rockwell hardness rating of 61-degrees and a half bolster, the Dick 1778 Series Santoku knife allows for complete utilisation of the cutting edge and easy resharpening. It comes packed and presented in a gift box.
For long-term protection, the blade and the natural wooden handle should be lubricated with a good, food-safe oil from the kitchen (e.g. olive oil). Ideally, you should rinse your knife with clean water immediately after use and then clean it with a soft cloth and dry it.
